YOUR BEST LIFE IS WAITING

What is the role of a Health coach?

Your health coach will support, educate and hold you accountable to achieving your goals and maintaining your results. Your health coach can help you with a vast array of wellness concerns: healthy eating, better sleep, increased energy, stronger immunity, cooking and meal planning inspiration, weight loss, improved digestion, and more! Health coaches can work in tandem with doctors, dieticians and other health care professionals to support a patient’s implementation of treatment protocols. Health Coaches can also design bespoke corporate and company wellness programs to optimise your team’s wellbeing and performance. A health coach is your secret weapon to unlocking your greatest potential!

HEALTH COACHING

Transform your health through bespoke wellness protocols.

At Bespoke Body we don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach. We believe in bio-individuality!

Our bodies, activity levels, hormones and so many other factors are constantly changing – we need to adapt with those changes and this can include making adjustments to the way we eat and move.

I am most passionate about working with women in achieving a healthy, happy weight, overcoming various eating disorders, improving digestive health, clearing skin and balancing hormones.

Sessions are mostly 60 minutes long and take place in person (Cape Town) or online (Worldwide).

For more information on pricing, packages as well as company wellness and  group coaching courses, please email me.

FITNESS

Exercise should be an act of self-love and self-care – never something to dread or regret.

Working with a qualified personal trainer will ensure you maximise your exercise time, work out according to your goals and abilities and avoid injuries.

My workouts are always varied to keep the body guessing and avoid boredom. I use a variety of fun equipment as well as a lot of bodyweight exercises.

I specialise in training women and I’m passionate about tightening up legs, bums and tums!

I draw inspiration from the many modalities I have practised over the years including HIIT (high intensity interval training), pilates, callisthenics, dance, yoga, muay thai and functional training.

Bespoke workout programs with or without accountability calls are also available on request.

HI I’M OONA!

I am passionate about changing people’s lives through delicious food, fitness, and achievable holistic lifestyle habits. I empower my clients with all the knowledge and tools to look and FEEL their very best.

I was born and raised in beautiful Cape Town, South Africa. I enjoyed a healthy and active childhood spending most afternoons practicing ballet or modern dance. When I was 12, I sustained a serious lower back injury from dancing, which left me bedridden for 2 weeks. Even after years of physiotherapy, I was reluctant to exercise again.

At the age of 16, I finally fell in love with another sport – Muay Thai! I began competing and participated in the 2002 Amateur World Cup in Thailand, where I was awarded a bronze medal in my weight class. Unfortunately competing in Muay Thai sparked an obsession with my weight, crash dieting, over training and binge eating, which I would struggle to shake for many years.

In 2003 my love of exercise led me to study with the Exercise Teacher’s Academy. I became a certified Personal Fitness Trainer and worked at one of Cape Town’s busiest gyms for 4 years, with a great number of devoted clients.

In 2007 I decided to pursue another passion, made a career change and started working in the costume department for the film and television industry. My lifestyle and health slowly started to slip due to grueling film schedules and a newfound love of partying. My wellbeing took a back seat in favour of working, drinking, smoking, junk food and little to no exercise.

After a few years of declining fitness and health, I took a long hard look at my life and my body and didn’t like what I saw! I had been stuck in a yo-yo dieting, compulsive eating cycle for years and had forgotten how to listen to what my poor body truly needed. I started paying attention to what was going into my body – reading lables, doing research and experimenting in the kitchen. Slowly, I started to heal the many years of abuse I’d done to myself. I also rediscovered my love of yoga and fitness and began working out consistently.

I turned my life and my body around and enrolled with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (the world’s biggest nutrition school.) Through the IIN I learnt about over 100 different dietary theories and enjoyed lectures from leading experts in the wellness industry. After a year of juggling film work and studies, I became a qualified holistic health coach in July 2016.

Over the years I’ve been vegetarian, pescetarian, vegan, paleo, banting – the list goes on and on! I’ve dieted, binged, purged, juice cleansed and everything else in between. When it comes to eating and exercise, I’ve truly been there and done almost everything! And I’m here to tell you that there is hope; you can heal your body and wellness can be fun, enjoyable and sustainable for a lifetime!

Love, Oona xo

I no longer strive for perfection, but focus on self-love and a sound mind resulting in a Bespoke Body!

Thank you for setting me free.

WHAT IS A HEALTH COACH?

A Health Coach is a wellness authority and supportive mentor who motivates individuals to cultivate positive health choices. Health Coaches educate and support clients to achieve their health goals through lifestyle and behaviour adjustments.

Health coaches believe that everything is connected: food, career, relationships and spirituality. If one area is out of balance or lacking, health and wellbeing will generally suffer. Working with a health coach will help you make sustainable lifestyle changes and work towards bringing all areas of your life into harmony.

A health coach is not a dietitian. We do not prescribe specialised eating plan s, nor do we count or dissect macro and micronutrients in foods. We do not diagnose or treat seriously ill clients, but we will work with other health care practitioners to help achieve optimum wellness.

If you’re tired of yo-yo dieting, binge eating, lack of energy or motivation, then working with a health coach is for you!
